Home Inspectors Qualified and accredited Home Inspectors can be independently commissioned to carry out both individual Energy Performance Certificates. Many Home Inspectors will also have arrangements in place to provide full Home Information Packs. 2. Pack Providers These are organisations set up to collate all the documentation required for the HIP. They will commonly sub-contract a solicitor or licensed conveyancer for the legal, land registry and local authority document preparation. They will sub-contract a Home Inspectors to carry out the property inspections to generate the EPC. 3. Estate Agents and Solicitors Although some Estate Agents and legal practices prepare packs themselves, most pass on the pack provision work to a Pack Provider. The fees can therefore be higher to cover third party contractual fees.
